"Very pleased with the box, easily fit my very large Odyssey battery and had room left over for some extra cable to be coiled up. Hold downs have worked well so far in the trunk of my car."

"Simple and easy. Used this on my car trailer for aux batt, and actually bolted the box to the floor of the trailer (comes with strap mounting bosses - plastic, and a strap) which I felt was most secure. the lid has a clasp on either side, simple wedge that holds against the body of the box. press the wedge in, and lift off. one side has plenty of room for wiring to come up and out, while still under the lid. Also has a slip into grove style divider piece for smaller series batteries. Mine was a group 31 AGM big rig battery, and it fit excellently!"

"My battery was a much smaller U1 size but I bought this box to have some extra space. It has a divider inside so the battery sits on one side and my fuses and extra wiring sit on the other side. It's been sitting outside over a month, through some intense rain and two snow storms and I've never noticed water inside. I ended up buying a second one to hold my solar controller to keep it well vented and rain free."

"Marine battery fits very well inside battery box. Have a 14" foot small outboard for fishing and added a trolling motor. The handles on the battery box make it convenient to place the battery in the boat and also to remove it after we're done using the boat. The box came with a strap to secure the cover and a bracket to mount the box. For our use, we have found that we don't need to use them."

"Perfect fit got 2 for my RV 6v Golf Cart Batteries. Both are inside boxes without lids on. Have both batteries on chargers. When it's time to transport batteries back to RV It will be so much easier & Lots less stressful. Just need one now for the 12v Battery..."

"Bought this for a 100ah group 27 battery. It's much heavier duty than I really expected, the movable divider that keeps smaller sized batteries from shifting around is a pretty nice feature, and it's large enough to let me keep a couple of related tools in the box with it for just in case."

"The dimensions are 12 1/2 inches tall, 14 1/8 inches long (measuring the furthest points of the lid) and 10 inches deep (again, taking into account the lid configuration). The inside dimensions at the base of the box (where the battery will sit) are, 10 1/2 inches long by 7 1/4 deep. The box itself widens slightly toward the top with an overall depth (vertical distance) of 10 inches. When the lid is snapped in place, you will have an additional 2 inches of head room."

"I bought this for portable ham radio operating, and it serves well in that capacity. I cut holes for a power switch, volt meter, USB ports and 12V car socket and wouldn't have minded a couple extra inches of height to better accommodate that, but I can't knock off a star in good conscience for it not being perfect for my specific application. Still works great."

"Seems rugged enough. The latch was a little difficult to work and the interior compartment separator does not stay in place. I have an extra car battery and I wanted to keep it in the garage and protect it from accidentally shorting out. This item met my needs. If I needed another one, I would buy this item again."

"I built a portable battery backup system for my Ham radio(s). Inside this box I placed a lithium ion battery which only took up a small section and was secured by both the divider (Supplied) and Velcro (Lowes). In the lid I placed the wiring and terminal strips which supplied power to the power pole mounted through box connector, voltage meter, USB connectors and more. The quality of the box was great, it is vented if needed, it has the shape needed to allow installation of gauges, through box connectors, and if desired, running cables from the inside of the box to the outside through the over hanging entry ports they designed it. I preferred mounting port connectors. It has a strap to secure around the box to give extra help in keeping the cover on. etc. By the way, that unused space.... I use to store my coax cable, extra fuses, and more. Clean and dry.
I had a special use for this box, if your using for a 12vdc lead acid filled battery for your boat, trailer etc. I'm sure it will work as advertised."
