Michelin Pilot Power 2CT Motorcycle Tire Features & Reviews (Hp/Track Front 120/70-17 58W)

Pilot® Power 2CT tires add two-compound technology to the already renowned Pilot® Power range. While 2CT technology originated in MotoGP racing, Pilot® Power 2CT tires are intended for the most demanding sportbike riders, who use their bikes both on the road and for track days. Its tread surface is divided into three separate areas, incorporating two different rubber compounds. This helps provide numerous benefits in terms of dry grip, lean angle, handling and progressive acceleration and braking on wet surfaces.

- 20% softer rubber mix on the edges of the tread yields phenomenal cornering grip*
- Track-day tire that's equally at home on the road
- Lean angles up to 51.2 degree measured on Michelin test track*
- Real MotoGP technology from the tire company that has won 15 consecutive GP World Championships
- Precise handling and feedback

Reviews

"Michelin, the best brand of motorcycle tires, excellent model of 2 compounds and high-performance. Now, my bike has more grip and I have more control when cornering at high speeds. I strongly recommend."

"Ive been using these tires on my 08 R6 since the stock dunlops had to be replaced. been using them for 5 yrs now and the R6 now has more than 30k miles on it. Recently got my R1 and these were the first thing i upgraded to. Total riding confidence and control when rolling on these awesome tires."

"I've been using the Pilot Power 2CTs for years now... and I can say nothing but good things about them. They have great life, and this online price is UNBEATABLE! I called everywhere local to me (Sacramento) and nobody could match this price. I gave the Dunlop Q2's a try, and they just don't compare."

"Gives me a better ride than the stock tire especially when cornering or on leans. Great compound that sticks to the road."

"I was looking around for tires for my 02 CBR F4i. These fit and ride great, I just got them installed today so i'm taking it pretty easy but you can tell a world of difference from the stock tires to these. I ordered these late Tuesday night and recieved them Thursday morning fast shipping and tires were in excellent condition. They don't ship in a box just the tire itself comes but my tires didn't have any defects and were in great working condition when they arrived. ..."

"I bought this tire to replace a worn bridgestone which was showing funny wear patterns. While the bridgestone was not near the wear bars the grip of the michelin was so vastly superior that I actually felt like I was going slower - like the triple trees were magnetized to the ground. I was pulled over immediately.
This tire transitions very well and the weight reduction is noticeable. (I have pyramid racing wheels... very little unsprung weight) The bike is much more flickable and I feel like the weight transfer is under my control. When I do my part it shows no tendency to walk or push in corners. Overall I really like this tire. My riding surface is horrible michigan roads too - FYI.
I purchased the 2CT because my back tire is a 2CT (was on the bike when I got it - 01 F4i) and it just made sense. Since running the rear for a while I've noticed that it does lose air occasionally. But this is a used tire. New I'm sure it wouldn't have these issues. It was abused. The front (purchased new through amazon) has shown none of those tendencies.
Another thing to note - my tire was made in AUGUST of THIS YEAR. Fresh and sticky!"

"Great tire! 0 complaints with this. I put this on my 2005 Yamaha FZ6, and while i am no professional racer I do take corners probably faster than i should for my skill level and they hold great, much better than my last set of tires. I'd recommend these tires for anyone!"

"I replaced a 200/50/17 with a powerpilot 2ct 190/55/17 and man oh man what a difference! The original tire size that came on the zx12r's really limit how flickable the bike is and the 190/55 tire really wakes the bike up, almost makes it feel lighter than what it is. Besides the size change I really like the tire, it's stiff in the middle and sticky on the sides. The guys at my local bike shop don't like the 2ct tires over the regular power pilot tires but I don't have any issues with them though for my next set I'll just be ordering the regular power pilots to compare and see what the shop guys are talking about. Nonetheless I really like my new tires, they've really boosted my confidence in taking turns at steeper lean angles."
